Job Description
East Morgan County Hospital (EMCH) in Brush, Colorado, is a critical access facility providing a full array of health care services. The hospital features a Level IV Trauma Center; an attached physicians’ and general surgeons’ clinics, Brush Family Medicine; a visiting specialists’ clinic; and the Alonzo Petteys Rehabilitation Center, which offers a complete range of rehab services including a warm-water therapy pool. EMCH has completed three phases of a four-phase remodel project, with the last phase, the surgery suite, scheduled to begin in early 2010.
Previous phases included remodeling the emergency room, and nurses’ station, expanding laboratory and medical imaging departments, the addition of the Brush Family Medicine clinic, relocation of the Physician Specialty Clinic, and remodeling of the admissions area, hospital lobby and gift shop. Other recent projects included adding an out-patient surgical suite for the general surgeons and expanding the pharmacy, as well as updating the chapel.

Pay opportunity $ 28.38 - $36.86 - $45.33
This position is responsible for providing Informatics expertise and resources for a facility or specialty area. As a resource, this position provides on-going user training and informatics support for various teams and committees. This position supports the organization’s vision and direction for computer systems, process design, data management and related processes. The informatics coordinator serves as a liaison between the facility or specialty area clinical support staff and the Clinical Information System IT team to communicate user needs and facilitate system modification to meet user needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed RN in current state of practice with diverse clinical knowledge and technology aptitude as normally obtained through three years of related experience.
The incumbent will be a Registered Nurse (R.N.) with licensure in practicing state.
Must be proficient in the use of system office applications.
Must possess a basic understanding of integrated clinical systems. Must have highly developed interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly.
This position requires the ability to convey messages and thoughts clearly to a diverse audience, using both verbal and written mediums.
Requires the ability to promote change among large groups of workers.
Requires the ability to coordinate information and activities, work under stress of deadlines and frequent interruptions, and to possess analytical problem solving skills.
Requires the maintenance of familiarity with clinical care processes and information technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior hospital experience preferred.
Previous computer experience is desired.
