Join Banner Health at North Colorado Medical Center as an RN Clinical Educator in our Perioperative Services to help deliver excellent patient care!

  

 

Our Perioperative services include 12 state-of-the-art OR suites, a  36-bed pre-post area, 21-bed phase one PACU, sterile processing area, and expanded endoscopy procedure rooms and pre/post area. NCMC is a Level II Trauma Center. Procedures include all specialties, including open heart. The scope of responsibilities will include Perioperative Services at NCMC and resource support to the Banner surgery centers in the Greeley/Loveland areas.

 

This position delivers training to employees that may include, but is not limited to on-boarding activities, various clinical topics, and new and/or enhanced computer applications. This includes guiding employees with the enrollment process via the organizations online learning center and tracking attendance for the facility.

 

This position will gather and track information regarding training activities for the facility.  Will do educational assessments to determine educational needs. Will conduct hands on orientation with staff in rooms. Designs, coordinates and implements educational activities for all areas of Perioperative Services.  Maintains staff portfolios, obtains contact hours for appropriate educational activities.  Reviews and revises policies and procedures as needed.  Provides leadership role regarding regulatory requirements.  Evaluates standards of patient care and recommends needed changes.  Must participate and promote team building skills, as well as provide excellent customer service.

 

Pay opportunity is $24.74 to 39.53.





REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • RN and BSN required or RN with Bachelor degree in health care related field.
  • BLS Certification.
  • 3 to 5 years work operating room experience or educational equivalent required.
  • At least two years in a position with primary responsibility for design and delivery of learning programs for adult learners.
  • Working knowledge of ancillary and support department responsibilities.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and computer technology skills, strong organization and communication skills and the ability to take initiative, solve problems and improve processes.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Master's degree preferred in health care or related area with an education focus or course work towards a Master's degree with planned completion date.
  • Demonstration of learning principles and use of multiple modalities, both traditional and non-traditional required.
  • 3 years of clinical experience in operating room preferred.
  • Development, delivery and evaluation of education programs and projects related to the perioperative services.
  • ACLS certification.
  • BLS instructor and ACLS intructor. 
  • Specialty certification.
