RN-2010 NEW GRAD PROGRAM
Job Description
Frye's New Graduate Program is structured to provide a smooth transition from New Graduate RN to Staff Nurse. This program includes educational classes and departmental orientation, the timeframe for the program is approximately 6-12 weeks. Please note: The application and supporting documents must be received in Human Resources by the deadline on March 1, 2010.
Application Details:
To begin the process, you must first complete and submit either an Online Application or Application for Transfer (if you are currently employed at FRMC). A resume needs to be attached to the application and include: education, clinical experiences as well as current/previous employment. Additionally, we must receive two (2) faculty references (at least one clinical) on provided forms in sealed/signed envelopes. Reference forms are available on www.fryemedctr.com/careers. FRMC 2010 New Graduate RN Program:
• Three hire dates - 7/19/10, 8/2/10 & 8/16/10
• After general and nursing orientation is completed, the New Grad RN will begin their clinical orientation on the unit with assigned preceptor.
• Beginning in September, the New Grad RN will be required to complete classes (ranging from 2-4 hours each) occurring bi-monthly through December.
• The Clinical Nurse Educator will function as a liaison with the New Grad RN during their training and will hold mandatory bi-weekly meetings through November.
• The Director, Preceptor and Nursing Supervisor will meet with the New Grad RN every 2 weeks throughout the orientation process.
Licensure/Certification: Current North Carolina RN licensure and BLS certification required. Must obtain RN license before the start of New Grad Program in July/August 2010.
