Job Description
Has authority and is accountable for decision making relative to the nursing care of the patients on designated patient care unit, on designated shift. Functions independently within a broad scope of established hospital and departmental policies and goals in rendering physical and supportive care and health teaching to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Supervises and delegates appropriately to other licensed and non licensed staff members in providing care to patients/families. Assists the Unit Manager in the overall management of nursing personnel, patient care unit and the educational environment of the patient care unit.Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing. Current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS and a minimum of one year of Emergency department experience.
