Job Description

You will be responsible for the direction of operations of a specific nursing unit(s) to insure quality patient care, competent and responsible personnel management and cost efficient and effective utilization of unit resources. You will also demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, visitors, physicians, and other hospital personnel; support the values and goals of the University of Alabama Hospital: responsible for 24 hour, 7 day a week unit coverage and respond to the unit specific needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, as the need arises. Position Requirements: The successful candidate will have a BSN with a minimum of five (5) years relevant nursing experience, a current Board of Alabama RN license and proven leadership and organizational skills. A MSN or a Masterís degree in a related field is preferred.
