In this role, you will assume immediate responsibility for: -Serve as a member of the surgical team by planning the perioperative care for surgical patients; -Participate in identification and resolution of nursing practice and unit problems; -Provides continuous nursing assessments and care to all surgical patients utilizing the nurse process and AORN standards; -Performs as a circulating or scrub nurse, setting up and assisting in surgical procedures; -Must be skilled and knowledgable in all aspects of perioperative nursing care for the surgical patient; -This position includes responsibility for participating in the 24 hour/7 day a week staffing to cover patients requiring elective, urgent or emergent surgery in a Level 1 Trauma Center and multi-specialty Operating Room; -Accepts role in the self-governance aspects of the Surgical Services nursing team
